Data we collect

Contact form

When you write to us through the form, we collect your name, email address, optionally your company name and a budget range, and the content of your message.

  • Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a proposal.
  • Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (GDPR article 6.1.b).
  • Retention: three years from the last exchange.
  • Recipient: Basix Agency only. Emails are delivered via Resend, our email provider.

Your data is never sold, transferred or used for advertising.

Analytics

Two tools, with two distinct roles: one counts traffic, the other explains behaviour.

Vercel Web Analytics — traffic

Our host provides a traffic measurement that stores nothing on your device: no cookie, no persistent identifier. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the request, automatically discarded after twenty-four hours. It cannot identify you, nor reconstruct your browsing across different websites.

The following is recorded: the page viewed, the site you came from, URL parameters after filtering, an approximate location (country, region, city), your browser, operating system and device type.

  • Purpose: to know the real traffic each page receives, so we can decide what to improve on the site.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR article 6.1.f), the measurement being anonymous, aggregated and for our own use only.
  • Because it does not access your device, this measurement runs regardless of your choice on the consent banner.

PostHog — behaviour

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

It works as follows:

  • Before you decide, analytics run without cookies and without a persistent identifier. Nothing is stored on your device, and your successive visits are not linked. This is audience measurement strictly limited to improving the site.
  • If you accept, an identifier is stored on your device, which lets us recognise a returning visit and understand journeys spanning several sessions.
  • If you decline, all measurement stops.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data for basix.agency in your browser.

The data collected consists of navigation events: pages viewed, clicks on call-to-action buttons, article reading progress, contact form steps. Input fields are masked and their contents are never recorded.

Analytics requests pass through the basix.agency/ingest domain before reaching PostHog's European servers.

Language preference

A technical cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, remembers the language you chose. It is necessary for the site to work and is not used for any tracking.

Hosting and transfers

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also processes the traffic data described above. Behavioural data is hosted by PostHog in the European Union. A transfer to the United States may occur as part of hosting services and traffic measurement, governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability.

To exercise them, write to contact@basix.agency. We respond within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

This policy may change. The last update date appears at the top of the page.
