Context
A fifteen-person consultancy with strong word-of-mouth referrals, but a website generating almost no inbound enquiries. The existing site listed seven offers on a single page with no hierarchy, and the contact form asked for eleven fields.
The problem was not traffic: around 1,800 visitors a month were arriving. It was conversion, sitting at roughly 0.3%.
Our approach
We started by listening to five recorded sales calls. The same three questions came up every time — about the method, about how long an engagement runs, about budget — and none of them were answered anywhere on the site.
The rebuild followed three decisions:
- One page per offer, each with the method, a typical duration, and a published price range. Showing a price filters out enquiries with no budget and reassures the ones that fit.
- Named case studies, obtained from three clients, with numbers. They became the most-read pages on the site.
- A four-field contact form, including a budget range selector that doubles as qualification.
Results
Over the ninety days after launch, at near-identical traffic, enquiries went up 3.2×. The share the consultancy considered qualified rose from 40% to 70%, with the published budget ranges filtering out most of the mismatched requests.
The mobile Lighthouse score went from 41 to 98, which also lifted several pages in search results on long-tail queries.
